Do you want to help strengthen Magelungen's financial management and contribute to better decision-making in our operations? Magelungen is further strengthening its finance function and is therefore recruiting a Financial Controller for an operations-focused and development-oriented role with a focus on analysis, reporting, and quality. The role also gives you an important part in our continued development work in reporting, system support, automation, and AI. The Role As Financial Controller, you are responsible for financial monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Your task is to ensure that our financial information is of high quality and that executive management, operational management, and managers receive relevant and reliable decision-support materials. You work both with ongoing financial management and with developing how we work with analysis, reporting, and decision support. An important part of the role is understanding the business behind the numbers. You analyze results, costs, business areas, and financial development over time, identify deviations and correlations, and translate financial information into clear conclusions and relevant priorities. You collaborate with executive management, operational management, and other functions to create relevant financial materials and a better overall picture of operations' development and resource use. In collaboration with HR, you also contribute with analyses of personnel costs, staffing, personnel budgets, and relevant HR metrics. Develop the Finance Function Together with Us We are not just looking for someone who wants to maintain what already exists. An important part of the assignment is to contribute to how our finance function should work going forward. You see opportunities to simplify and improve reporting, analyses, and processes, and are curious about how systems, automation, and AI can be used to create better quality and more efficient working methods. You don't need to have already completed major AI projects. However, we want you to have an interest in the field and the motivation to test and develop new working methods with others where technology can create concrete value. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone with academic education in finance or equivalent and at least five years of relevant experience in finance. You have a strong foundation in accounting and a good understanding of financial statements. In addition, you have experience in controlling, financial analysis, or other qualified finance work, preferably corresponding to approximately two to three years. You have experience with operations-focused analysis and with developing reporting, decision support, or financial analysis models. You have very good Excel skills, experience with business systems, and analysis tools. It is a merit if you have experience with operations with multiple units or business areas. We also view positively experience in setting requirements or implementing reports, analysis tools, or system support, as well as experience with automation, system integrations, or AI solutions in finance. Experience in project management or sub-project management in finance development is also a merit.
