Lernia is now seeking an analytical Financial Controller who wants to take comprehensive responsibility for the group's liquidity management, financial reporting, and economic decision support. Here you will have a central role with great trust where you work closely with the CFO function and contribute to ensuring quality, transparency, and control in Lernia's financial management.
About the position
As a Financial Controller, you report directly to the Head of Financial Business Support and work closely with the CFO. The role has a clear group perspective with focus on monitoring the company as a whole rather than operational business monitoring.
You are responsible for liquidity forecasts, cash flow analyses, reporting, and financial decision support. The role also includes preparing reports and presentation materials for management, the board, and owners, as well as various types of ad hoc analyses. You will be an important part of ensuring that the company's financial information is of high quality and that the organization has access to relevant decision support materials.
You will work with:
Liquidity forecasts and cash flow analyses
Analysis and monitoring of balance sheet and cash flow
Financial reporting to management, board, and owners
Budget and forecast work from a group perspective
Preparing presentation materials and decision support documents
Ad hoc analyses and investigations
Data transfer and reporting in IBM Cognos
Development and improvement of financial processes and reporting routines
The role involves significant responsibility and you will handle information of confidential and business-critical nature.
About you
We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a good understanding of how different parts of the business affect the company's financial position. You are comfortable working at a strategic level, can see the bigger picture, and feel confident independently driving analyses, reporting, and improvement initiatives.
You are structured, thorough, and good at translating complex financial information into clear decision support materials. At the same time, you have integrity and good judgment, which is important as the role involves handling sensitive information and many contact points within the organization.
Formal qualifications
Academic degree in economics, finance, or equivalent
Previous experience working as a Financial Controller, Group Controller, or similar finance role
Experience with liquidity forecasts and cash flow analyses
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Good understanding of financial management, consolidation accounting, and IFRS
Very good skills in Excel
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Meritorious
Experience with IBM Cognos
Experience with Power BI
Experience with Planacy
Experience from a larger organization or group environment
