Film i Dalarna seeks a film consultant for talent and industry development with communication responsibilities

Film i Dalarna AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Region Dalarna that works to create a vibrant film region. We drive development initiatives in film for children and young people, and strengthen efforts in film literacy and critical thinking about moving images. We create conditions for the screening of valuable film, and promote the development of the region's cinema structure. We co-produce film and TV productions, strengthen the pipeline of filmmakers in the region, and drive the development of Dalarna as an attractive filming location.
We are looking for a film consultant who develops conditions for filmmakers and film professionals in the region and strengthens the organization's external communication. You initiate meeting places, networks, events, and development initiatives, build long-term collaborations with industry, educational institutions, municipalities, businesses, and other stakeholders, and translate needs into relevant activities and initiatives. You also oversee Film i Dalarna's external communication and showcase the organization's opportunities, results, and stories. The role combines strategic development work with practical implementation.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and develop Film i Dalarna's talent development throughout the region through mentoring, workshops, festivals, talent programs, and other capacity-building initiatives, national networks, as well as handling and monitoring film grants with associated budget responsibility.
Manage industry development through meeting places, networking events, events, and long-term collaborations, as well as other initiatives that strengthen Dalarna as a film region, filming location, and environment for cultural and creative industries (CCI).
Oversee planning, production, publishing, and monitoring of Film i Dalarna's external communication on the web, social media, and press.
We are looking for someone who:
Has education and/or relevant experience in film and TV, communication, project management, or another applicable field.
Has knowledge of filmmaking, storytelling, and the Swedish film industry.
Has experience initiating and leading projects, meeting places, events, and other development initiatives.
Is proactive and relationship-building, with the ability to build networks, long-term collaborations, and translate needs into relevant initiatives.
Has experience with strategic and operational communication, including web, social media, and editorial content.
Is independent, responsible, organized, and flexible, with strong ability to plan, prioritize, and drive processes from idea to implementation and follow-up.
The work involves travel throughout Dalarna. A driver's license is a requirement.
Employment terms and application:
Employment type: Permanent position with 6-month probationary period.
Scope: Full-time or by agreement.
Salary and start date by agreement.
Work location: Falun.
