Hotell Vänerport
Hotell Vänerport operates two hotels in central Mariestad: Vänerport Lakefront by the harbor and Vänerport Stadshotell at Nya torget. Plus Norrqvarn by Göta kanal in Lyrestad. We also have a sister company with rental properties where you will be responsible for property maintenance.
We are an expanding operation with many projects underway and numerous properties to manage. Many exciting things happen here, and during your workday you'll be part of our journey.

Selection of Work Tasks
Hotel Operations:
Troubleshooting and repairs in hotel rooms, such as heating, lighting/lamps, simple electrical work, bathrooms, doors/locks, ventilation, and general function
Repair of inventory and furnishings; minor repairs to furniture, hardware, fixtures, trim, etc.
Moving and handling of furniture and items during refurnishing, events, renovations, or room changes
Installation/assembly of new features and functions in rooms or common areas (e.g., shelves, hooks, TV mounts, equipment, minor upgrades)
Ongoing maintenance and preventive inspections to minimize downtime
Property Management:
Troubleshooting and repair of appliances (simple procedures, function testing, replacement of parts as needed)
Inspection and troubleshooting of heating issues, ventilation, and temperature deviations
Troubleshooting and handling of water/sewage issues
Supervision and minor repairs in common areas
Outdoor Environment and Seasonal Work
Grass cutting and basic garden maintenance
Snow removal and de-icing
Supervision of outdoor lighting, walkways, and entrances

Requirements
Since the work is varied and requires the ability to see solutions to various problems, we seek someone with previous experience in property maintenance or similar skilled trades work.

Carpentry & Painting
Swedish is a requirement; English is highly desirable.
The position is permanent and full-time.
