SiS Youth Facility Råby welcomes both girls and boys. We have both secure and open placements for secure youth care as well as treatment placements for youth under the Care of Young Persons (LVU) Act. Job Description As a manager, you report directly to the facility director and are part of the facility's management team. You lead and drive work toward established goals and are responsible within your unit for work environment, personnel, and budget. You are responsible for the unit's internal and external contacts. Your duties may include: responsibility for all property-related matters in collaboration with SiS headquarters, Specialfastigheter, and the Råby räddningsinstitut foundation, responsibility for and leadership of ongoing and new projects (both new construction and renovations) at Råby providing expertise in procurement according to LOU, construction contract law, and laws and regulations governing construction full budget and profit responsibility for the unit establishing close collaboration with both internal and external partners developing procedures, documentation, and working methods within the property area In SiS operations, property matters are closely linked to operational security, work environment, continuity, and quality. You need to understand how the physical environment affects both the operational conditions and the safety of youth and staff. Some on-call duty may occur. You must meet the following criteria: You hold a university degree in building engineering or have similar education/experience that the employer deems appropriate You have several years of experience in property management, property maintenance, construction, or similar areas (maintenance planning, project management, and procurement are central functions in your work) Experience and knowledge of work environment, budget, profit, and personnel responsibility is required The role requires a skilled communicator who can be clear in messaging while also inspiring You have experience in planning and monitoring maintenance and property measures The ability to collaborate and cooperate with contractors, suppliers, and other actors both externally and internally is of paramount importance, as this department interacts with many parties You have experience with financial monitoring in the property area You have good understanding of systematic safety, work environment, and risk management related to the physical environment You have good administrative and digital skills You are proficient in expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing You hold a class B driver's license It is advantageous if you have experience with: state agencies or other public operations properties with high safety requirements and operational continuity institutional care, correctional facilities, healthcare, or other 24/7 operations construction and renovation projects in active operations long-term maintenance planning procurement, contracts, and contractor management systematic fire safety work energy and operational optimization security-classified or specially security-sensitive facilities property management systems and digital maintenance planning We are looking for someone with a clear holistic perspective who understands the connection between property, security, economics, and operations. You work in a structured and systematic manner and have a good ability to plan ahead. At the same time, you can quickly prioritize and act when acute problems arise. You are risk-aware and understand the importance of early identification of shortcomings that could affect operations, security, or the work environment. You don't settle for managing symptoms but seek underlying causes and work preventively. You have good financial understanding and can balance investments, maintenance needs, and operational requirements against available resources. The role involves many contact points and therefore requires good collaboration and communication skills. You can engage in dialogue with both technical specialists and contractors as well as managers and staff without technical backgrounds. You are clear in making and following up on requirements and maintain integrity when agreed-upon requirements are not met. As a person, you are solution-oriented and action-oriented, but you don't make hasty decisions. You gather relevant information, assess risk and consequence, and prioritize based on the organization's overall needs. We place great importance on personal qualities. For this role, we are looking for a confident leader with both feet on the ground. You are organized with a sense for economics. Employment: This is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period provided that the current holder receives the requested position. Start date by agreement.
