As a family therapist, you'll have varied and meaningful work, together with colleagues who share knowledge, support each other and want to develop together. At Family Support, 17 family therapists work alongside a group leader who directs and distributes the work and a unit manager who oversees the operation. The unit also includes the aftercare project with high availability, and four additional family therapists work within that project framework. The unit is located in pleasant facilities at Hässelby gårds centrum and near the social services' other operations. Your role As a family therapist, you work closely with children, young people and their families with the goal of creating positive and sustainable changes in everyday life. The work is based on the family's needs, strengths and resources and occurs in close cooperation with the family and other important people around the child. You plan, carry out and follow up treatment interventions based on assignments and set goals. The work may consist of individual conversations, family conversations, parental support and practical change work in the family's everyday life. The unit is involved in active development work where we implement Signs of Safety as a shared approach and working method. As a family therapist, you become an important part of that work and contribute to developing more strength-based, solution-focused and family-oriented work with the child's security and participation at the center. You collaborate closely with social workers and other professionals around the family. The role involves both independent work and active participation in the work team, where we share experiences, learn from each other and together develop our working methods and interventions. Your competence and experience Requirements: Social work degree (socionomexamen) It is advantageous if you have: further education equivalent to level 1 in psychotherapy or systems theory education experience with family therapy based on structured or evidence-based methods and working approaches experience with authority practice within social services or working with treatment interventions on assignment from the social services' authority section We're looking for someone who is confident and stable in your professional role and has good self-awareness. You are aware of how your own approach affects your interactions with others and have the ability to reflect on your own role in treatment work. You can work independently while seeing cooperation as a natural part of the work. You work in a structured manner, have good overall perspective and the ability to switch between concrete work with families and a broader perspective. You are flexible and have the ability to meet families with different needs and life situations. You take on varied assignments with engagement and curiosity and can adapt your working approach based on the family's needs, the matter's issues and the goals set for the intervention. You easily create trusting relationships with children, young people and families and build good collaborations with colleagues and other professionals. In your communication, you are clear and receptive and can adapt your way of communicating according to situation and recipient. You can make well-founded assessments and maintain focus on the child's or young person's needs, security and development.
