JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a family law secretary at the Family Court, you will investigate and handle custody, residence, and visitation matters upon request from the district court, as well as handle visitation cases with visitation support and contact persons. We also work with adoptions and investigate and handle paternity and parenthood cases. We also have a mandate to work preventatively through conflict-resolution cooperation conversations with separated parents where the focus is always on the child's best interest. This can occur through assignments from the district court or through parents' applications. We are planning to launch a group activity program called "Children in Parents' Focus - Biff" to provide support to the parents we meet within family law. We see preventative work as important and have a daily informational role to citizens in the form of advice and support. At the Family Court, collaboration and cooperation play a significant role in our work, and we seek ways to work with other important people for child protection and security. Development work is important, and we collaborate with universities, researchers, and other family court units for legally secure work for our citizens and to further strengthen the child rights perspective for our children and young people. We have strengthened our expertise and invested in training on intimate partner violence. We have a clear child perspective with the Parental Code and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as our governing documents. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • an accredited degree in social work that includes a law course and has experience with social case handling and investigation work. It is positive if you enjoy change work and work with passion. • experience with social case handling and investigation work. • good documentation habits. It is a merit if you have previously worked with family law or have knowledge of family law. Or if you have previously had conversations with children and young people or had difficult and complex conversations with adults. If you have knowledge of NPF, neuropsychiatric functional limitations, or have psychotherapy training level 1, or other equivalent training, it is a merit, or if you have education and/or experience with serious conflicts and violence. If you have a driver's license and driving experience, it is desirable. To succeed in the role of family law secretary, you should have: • a good sense of documentation, able to write clearly and well-structured. You possess good analytical skills, can adapt your texts to our target audience's needs and from a clear child perspective. • knowledge to see what needs to be prioritized and use resources to best achieve results. • ease in planning and organizing your work. You like to set goals, arrange resources, follow up, and complete activities. • an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with others and are someone who takes own initiative, is courageous, and has the ability to separate facts from personal feelings. You are a good listener and can extract what is important in complex conversations. Of course, the team and your colleagues are important to strengthen the work further. Quality, treatment, and collaboration are important success factors in our shared values.
