About the Position As a family home consultant, you are responsible for recruiting, investigating, training, supervising, and following up on family homes and emergency care homes. You play a central role in ensuring that placed children and young people receive a safe and sustainable family home placement. At the same time, you have the opportunity to influence the service's continued development by contributing ideas, experience, and commitment to strengthening and developing family home care. Your work tasks include, among other things: Recruiting and investigating new family homes and emergency care homes Assessing families' capacity to receive placed children and young people Providing support, supervision, and guidance to family homes Conducting home visits and follow-ups Participating in placements, replacements, and closures Collaborating with social services, guardians, schools, healthcare, and other relevant parties Participating in network meetings, care planning meetings, and follow-up meetings Documenting interventions and preparing reports in accordance with applicable legislation and service procedures Contributing to the service's quality work, development, and recruitment of new family homes The position is a full-time role with daytime working hours on weekdays. A 6-month probationary period applies. The office is located in central Gothenburg and there is an opportunity for some remote work. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to children and young people and who is motivated by making a difference. You feel comfortable in a role where you can combine independent responsibility with close collaboration and cooperation with family homes, social services, and other important parties. As a person, you are confident, have good judgment, and the ability to build long-term and trusting relationships. You are organized, proactive, and handle challenging situations with both professionalism and a solution-focused approach.
