Field activities are qualified social work anchored in systems theory and with evidence-based methodology. The work takes place in close collaboration with the municipality's other operations as well as civil society organizations and voluntary associations. Field activities consist of four field coordinators, one of whom is a group leader, and is co-located with Lyktans group activities, which is also an important collaboration partner. Field activities operate through outreach, but equally important are coordination and mobilization efforts. In practice, this means working with a focus on the selective prevention level by identifying at-risk groups, ensuring that young people in the risk zone are recognized, working with preventive measures in collaboration with other stakeholders and utilizing the resources available in the broader community. At Individual and Family Care Services in Sandviken Municipality, you have excellent opportunities for skills development and you actively participate in the development of operations in accordance with our mandate. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This field coordinator position will emphasize practical work. This means that much of the work time will be spent in environments where you meet young people, adults working with youth and parents, and implementing the Machofabriken program in schools and other activities. This requires an independent and flexible approach to work. The main aspects of the other field coordinator assignment are to: • Conduct outreach and mobilization work in youth environments, primarily at the group level but to some extent at the individual level. Identify vulnerable youth and offer opportunities for support and help for change in collaboration with other stakeholders. • Work closely with parents, youth's broader networks and work motivationally with these groups to increase youth safety and well-being. • Initiate and implement various types of interventions, such as home visits, parent meetings, network meetings, targeted interventions for vulnerable groups. • Work together with the municipality's existing operations for joint efforts around the operation's target group to increase protective factors and reduce risk factors at the group and individual level. • Stay informed about the current situation regarding Sandviken youth by being present in youth environments and share knowledge with other collaboration partners for developing joint strategies and development areas. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has a degree from another higher education program that the employer deems equivalent and who is passionate about the practical dimensions of social work. You have experience in social work with young people and their families from the individual and family care services arena. We are looking for someone who is a solution-oriented person with a holistic perspective. You have excellent initiative skills but are also a strong team player. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to build trust and confidential relationships with young people and their parents, as well as good collaborative relationships with professional and voluntary organizations. You have excellent knowledge of social services organization and mandate and stay well-informed about other societal systems, so you can serve as a sounding board for other professionals and contribute with suggestions for constructive interventions. You should function as a bridge builder and link between different operations in the municipality, which requires that you are verbal and accommodating in all contexts. For the field coordinator position, you must be comfortable working through outreach in youth environments, often directed toward schools and recreational activities. The position is primarily based during daytime, but work at inconvenient times is included and guided by operational needs, which means work evenings/weekends a few times per month. Great weight will be placed on personal maturity and suitability. A B driver's license is a requirement. Experience in social work is a requirement. Employment type: Permanent employment.
