The Workplace
Arte Middle School grades 4-6 and adapted primary school with associated after-school care is located in central Nordmaling. Here you'll meet approximately 185 students in grades 4-6 and about 12 students in the adapted primary school.
The school actively works to create a safe, inclusive, and developmentally enriching learning environment for all students. Chromebooks are used as digital learning tools to support instruction.
The school has well-developed collaboration with the central student support team, consisting of special education teachers, counselors, school psychologists, school nurses, and speech-language pathologists. There is also a safety team that works proactively and preventatively to create a positive school environment.
Directly adjacent to the school are a gymnasium, swimming pool, and natural areas—providing excellent opportunities for varied instruction and activities.
The Role and Responsibilities
We are now seeking extra staff for short-term needs in school and after-school care.
As an hourly substitute with us, you'll have the opportunity to work in grades 4-6, adapted primary school, and after-school care. You'll contribute to creating a safe, positive, and developmentally enriching environment where student learning and well-being are the focus. The work involves being able to replace regular staff on short notice and being an important part of the facility's daily operations.
As an hourly substitute, your work may include:
supporting and guiding students in their learning, social development, and daily activities during school and after-school care.
contributing to a safe and inclusive environment.
participating in recess activities and other group activities.
assisting with instruction based on planning from regular staff.
collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, and other staff to provide students with the best possible support.
About You
The requirement for working as extra staff within Children and Education is that you are 18 years old.
We would like to see that you have:
relevant education and
experience working with children and/or in school settings.

Employment
Before employment in the school, a criminal record clearance certificate must be presented in accordance with current legislation. The certificate must be presented to the employer before employment begins to ensure the safety and security of children and students.
