The Upper Secondary and Adult Education Division is seeking hourly substitute teachers for our school operations who can work and provide support on short notice when regular staff are unavailable. We are looking for substitutes for upper secondary school, adult education, and SFI.
Your Role as a Substitute Teacher
Based on your qualifications and the needs of our operations, you will have the opportunity to work at different workplaces within our service areas. Your assignments may vary from one to 14 days. When your availability and qualifications match one of our operations' needs, a work request and potential booking will be sent via SMS.
Working as a substitute provides valuable experience and creates opportunities for other positions within Umeå Municipality.
Please note that substitute work does not guarantee any specific employment level and is based on the operations' needs.
About You
You thrive in a varied work environment, are flexible, and enjoy taking initiative. With strong commitment and a focus on good conduct, you collaborate well with others, are punctual in your work, and serve as a positive role model for school students. Personal suitability is of great importance.
Requirements
Ongoing or completed subject teacher education
Experience in educational work that the employer considers relevant
Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record register for "Work in school or preschool"
Meritorious
Advanced knowledge in practical or theoretical subjects
Available to substitute broadly across multiple subject areas
Valid driver's license and regular access to a car
