Do you want to become our expert for next-generation piping system solutions and are you drawn to mapping out the strategy yourself in this brand new role? For someone who wants to combine deep technical expertise, consulting, and development, this is an opportunity to truly make your mark.
This recruitment is a collaboration with Jefferson Wells, but you will be directly employed by Alvenius.
Alvenius Industrier is now seeking a piping systems expert for a key role where you'll have the opportunity to build and develop a new area of expertise within the company.
This is a completely new role where you'll combine cutting-edge technical expertise with consulting, calculations, and project work in an operation that delivers piping system solutions to customers in water utilities, infrastructure, and construction projects.
This is not a traditional design engineering role. Instead, we're looking for someone who wants to become the comprehensive expert for piping systems and ensure that solutions work from a strength, installation, and operational perspective.
You'll be part of our engineering department alongside the engineering manager, designers, production engineers, welding technicians, and a certification specialist, while also having significant influence over how the role and area develop going forward.
About the Role
As a piping systems expert, you will work with calculations, sizing, system analysis, and technical development of Alvenius piping system solutions. An important part of the role is being the expert who understands what's technically possible before projects reach the design phase.
The work includes calculations related to anchoring, fixed points, loads, and thermal expansion, as well as technical review and development of various system solutions. You'll be a natural consultant in projects where understanding how a piping system functions in practice is critical.
The role requires high proficiency in your ability to:
Calculate, size, and analyze piping systems
Translate technical challenges into practical solutions
Review or develop technical models and drawing documentation
Collaborate in complex project environments with Swedish and international partners
The role is based at our facility in Eskilstuna, where production is also located. We value strong on-site presence because collaboration with colleagues and the operation are important parts of the role.
Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for someone with a university or master's degree in engineering who has experience with piping systems where technology, function, and system perspective are in focus. You could come from water utilities, process industry, energy, infrastructure, or other operations where piping systems are a key part of the facility.
You have a good understanding of connection methods, materials, and technical solutions within piping systems and are experienced in technical problem-solving, analysis, and calculations. Experience with technical modeling using BIM tools such as Revit is required.
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English and thrive in a role with many points of contact.
Why Alvenius?
This is a unique opportunity to enter a role that hasn't existed before. You'll have great freedom to influence work methods, technical solutions, and how Alvenius develops its piping system offerings going forward.
Alvenius Industrier was founded in Eskilstuna in 1951 and is today a leading supplier of piping solutions to customers in mining, tunneling, water utilities, fire suppression, industry, and infrastructure. With approximately 60 employees in Eskilstuna, we deliver technical solutions to projects worldwide. We place great emphasis on helping each other and working together on projects.
