About the Departments
The Surgery and Oncology Clinic consists of three care units with different specializations.
Unit 36 focuses mainly on elective surgery, but also to some extent acute patients with diseases in the lower part of the intestines and urological conditions.
Units 38-39 focus on acute patients and elective upper gastro patients as well as patients with breast cancer.
At the clinic, we strive for efficient flow and always look forward. Here we work together in a team with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, pharmacists and paramedics. We see the team as a prerequisite for efficient flow.
The clinic continuously works with improvement initiatives, which result in clear routines and guidelines.

Your Role
You work in a team together with a nurse, where constant and open communication is important to ensure patient-safe care. You can independently monitor, document and report changes/observations in the patient's health status.
Together with the nurse, you identify and address care needs that arise during the shift. Depending on whether the patient is independent, partially requires help or fully requires help, you provide supportive care regarding personal hygiene, toilet visits, oral health, eating support measures as well as clothes/bedding and mobilization. You collaborate to continuously evaluate and optimize the care provided.

As a new employee, you receive a safe introduction where you get to know your supervisor who will be there for you during your first time as our new employee. During your first year you will have regular check-ins with your work supervisor/manager.
With us, you have the opportunity to work under several working time models. Our most popular is the points model. Then you work three shifts and have the opportunity to build up a points bank where you can choose how you want to use earned points, in money or in granted leave. We can also offer two shifts.

About You
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with at least two years of experience on a care unit within acute healthcare. You have received your proof of protected professional title from Socialstyrelsen.
We see that you have a great interest in surgery, then we can offer you broad expertise in the field. As a person, you should have good collaboration skills, flexibility and interest in sharing your knowledge. You are committed and responsible and put the patient's needs in focus.
You should have the ability to work in a structured way and sometimes at a fast pace. We also see that you have good judgment and can prioritize in different situations.
You value, just as we do, that the work environment should be good with a healthy culture and open-mindedness.
