ABOUT THE ROLE
In your role as a mechanical design engineer, you will work on developing and further developing advanced machine systems. You are responsible for translating product requirements into thoughtful and manufacturable design solutions and you follow the development work from concept and design to prototype, verification, and production adaptation.
You will work with mechanical design in Creo, create drawings, technical documentation, and set tolerances for components and assemblies. The role also involves conducting technical analyses and ensuring that designs meet high requirements for function, quality, and manufacturability. You will be part of a cross-functional development team where you collaborate closely with colleagues in mechanics, electronics, software, and production to ensure a well-integrated and production-ready machine solution.
More specifically, you will:
Develop mechanical solutions for advanced machine systems.
Design in Creo and create drawings and technical documentation.
Ensure function, quality, and manufacturability.
Collaborate with mechanics, electronics, software, and production teams.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO HAVE:
Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering or similar.
3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.
Strong systems thinking with the ability to see the bigger picture, understand the interaction between different subsystems, and create design documentation, drawings, and tolerance specifications for details.
Experience with 3D CAD, preferably Creo.
Ability to work independently and drive your own design tasks from idea to finished solution.
Good knowledge of English, spoken and written.
Meritorious competence:
Experience with PDM systems (Windchill).

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is that you will eventually become directly employed by the client.
