Restaurant SAND and Hotel Skansen are located between the beach and harbor in central Båstad, with the famous center court just outside the door, where guests can enjoy accommodation, spa, food, and drinks in a warm atmosphere with sea views. The hotel is part of GRAM Group which, together with Hotel Riviera Strand, Torekov Hotell, and the restaurants Pepe's Bodega, Papas and Mamas Italian, comprises three distinctive hotels and several restaurants at an outstanding destination.
About the Position
This is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Working hours vary and include day, evening, and weekend work. As a chef with us, you are an important part of the whole and help create the guest's experience from the first preparation to the finished dish. You need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, take responsibility for your tasks, and at the same time see when you can support your colleagues. We appreciate initiative and ideas and want you to feel involved in both the daily work and our continued development. Main Responsibilities
Cooking within à la carte, lunch, and dinner
Preparation and cooking of dishes
Participate in the development of new dishes and contribute ideas to the menu
Ensure high quality and consistent results in daily work
Follow HACCP and current cleaning schedules
Collaborate with colleagues to create a good whole for both guests and team
About You
We are looking for you who
Have relevant chef education
Have at least six years of experience from the chef profession
Have a genuine interest in cooking and ingredients
Are knowledgeable in special diets and allergies
Have a strong sense of quality and attention to detail
Take responsibility for your tasks and see what needs to be done
Enjoy collaborating and contributing to the team's common results
Are curious, engaged, and enjoy bringing ideas and initiative
Are social, cheerful, and communicative
Are organized and enjoy working at a fast pace
