We are now seeking a lawyer with experience in public administration and a strong drive for digitalization. About the Position The Legal Department is part of FMV's Legal and Security Division and is responsible for representing FMV in all legal matters, including legal disputes, and for providing legal advice and governance with the goal of ensuring regulatory compliance. The Legal Department has about twenty lawyers with broad expertise in areas including public disclosure and confidentiality, contract law, security protection, public procurement, administrative law, AI, GDPR, labor law, and international law. We also work on legal issues related to preparedness and NATO. We support FMV's operations in everything from complex procurements to strategic legal issues related to new technology, and our work contributes to Sweden having a secure, efficient, and future-proof defense. As a lawyer with a focus on digitalization, you will provide legal support to operations on digitalization issues such as IT law, intellectual property law, AI law, data protection law, cybersecurity law, contract law for digital services, administrative law, and digital administration. You will work closely with the operations team and contribute legal expertise in both strategic and operational contexts. You will participate in negotiations with both Swedish and international suppliers, authorities, and organizations. The role involves significant responsibility for assessing legal risks related to digital solutions, while also giving you the freedom to find creative and sustainable solutions. Your duties include providing legal advice on procurement and drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IT contracts. You will also work on developing contractual terms, internal guidelines, and templates. You stay current in your field and see environmental monitoring as a natural part of your work. The position is based in Stockholm. Travel will occur. About You We are seeking someone with a law degree of 270 credits or a law degree (jur.kand.) according to the previous examination regulations. You have relevant and several years of practical experience in legal work within or for/against public administration. The position requires that you also have relevant and practical experience in digitalization. A fundamental requirement is that you have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English. We would appreciate if you have experience working with legal issues related to public disclosure and confidentiality, public procurement, and work with EU law issues, preferably with a focus on digitalization. If you have previous experience with cloud services and AI as well as IT and information security, we see that as an advantage. Personal qualities are of great importance to us.
