Job Description
Do you want to work with advanced automation solutions and be involved from concept through to operational installation? We are now looking for an experienced automation developer who wants to join our team in Oskarshamn.
At AFRY, we develop, program, and implement automation solutions for customers in the industrial sector. This role offers a varied day-to-day where you can combine technical problem-solving with close customer contact and practical field work. You will work with system engineering, programming, and further development of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robotics solutions, and contribute to commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial control systems.
The work spans the entire project lifecycle and can involve everything from technical solution development and bid preparation to programming, testing, and start-up. You will work both in project teams from the office and on-site with customers, where you contribute your expertise to create long-term sustainable and reliable solutions.
We are looking for someone who wants to share their experience while continuing to develop alongside engaged colleagues. You will become an important part of a section with high ambition levels, strong cohesion, and great technical curiosity. In the longer term, there are opportunities to develop into specialist roles, technical leadership, or a broader consulting role depending on your interests and ambitions.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who collaborates easily with colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors, and who communicates clearly and simply with everyone who needs information – or actively seeks it out when needed. You are stress-resistant and remain calm even in pressured situations, while thinking logically and systematically. Furthermore, you are ambitious and enjoy taking a leading role in programming work without needing to be prompted – you drive the work forward with engagement and responsibility.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Experience with troubleshooting and commissioning in industrial environments
Meritorious
Experience with robot programming
Knowledge of one or more of the following systems: ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Intouch, Citect, Ignition
English, spoken and written
