Construction Engineer – Infrastructure
About the Position
Our client is a growing infrastructure company with ambitions to continue developing and gaining market share. We are now seeking a construction engineer who wants to be part of the company's continued growth journey and take on an important role in both projects and company development.
As a construction engineer, you will work closely with the CEO and project organization, becoming an important connecting link between estimation, design, procurement, finance, and production. You will have a broad and varied role where you are given significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence work methods, processes, and project development.
The company primarily works with infrastructure contracting, and you will be involved in projects from early estimation and bid stages through execution and financial follow-up.
You will work with, among other things:
Estimation and bidding
Design and production planning
Financial follow-up and forecasting
Procurement and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers
Quantity calculations and material schedules
Production and project monitoring
Contract and agreement matters
Coordination between various project stakeholders
Ongoing development of the company's work methods and processes
We would appreciate if you have experience with LOU (Public Procurement Act) and have worked with public procurement, bids, and tender documents. Experience reading, interpreting, and working with material schedules is also a plus.
About You
We are looking for someone with a construction or infrastructure engineering background and several years of experience in a similar role within infrastructure, contracting, or related activities.
You ideally have experience with:
Estimation and bidding in infrastructure
Finance, forecasting, and financial follow-up
Design and production planning
Procurement and supplier/subcontractor relationships
Material schedules and quantity calculations
LOU and public procurement
Project and business systems
Office Suite, especially Excel
It is important that you are comfortable taking responsibility and can see the bigger picture in a project. You do not need to know everything from day one – what matters more is that you have a solid foundation, personal drive, and a willingness to continue developing with the company.
As a Person
We believe you are structured, analytical, meticulous, and solution-oriented, while also being humble and good at collaborating with others.
You thrive working independently and taking your own initiatives, but also enjoy working closely with the CEO, project managers, and production. Since the company is smaller, you will have the opportunity to get close to the operations and make a real impact.
This is a role for someone who doesn't just want a job, but wants to be part of developing a growing infrastructure company. You will be given significant trust, short decision-making paths, and the opportunity to progressively take on greater responsibility as the company grows.
We value your personal qualities highly and would like to see someone who sees opportunities, dares to take responsibility, and finds it stimulating to be part of building something for the long term.
What We Offer
With our client, you will have the opportunity to join a smaller, entrepreneur-driven company with clear growth ambitions. Here, decision-making paths are short, the distance to management is small, and opportunities to make an impact are significant. For the right person, there are good opportunities to develop alongside the company and over time take on even greater responsibility in the operations.
Are you a construction engineer in infrastructure who wants to be part of an exciting growth journey? Then we would like to hear from you!
