Role Description
The Health and Safety Coordinator/Occupational Health Engineer is responsible for independently managing the project's health and safety work and serving as the project's contact person with the client, project partners, and suppliers.
The role's primary responsibility is to compile, maintain, and update the health and safety plan for the current project, which includes participating in relevant meetings, establishing procedures and control plans, and ensuring compliance with these.
The role includes, among other things:
· Compile, maintain, and update the project's risk register
· Compile training materials for the project's health and safety training
· Keep the project's training log updated
· Conduct health and safety training within the project
· Review and provide input to work methods from a health and safety perspective
· Report, investigate, develop measures, and provide feedback regarding the project's accidents and near-misses
· Follow up on health and safety measures and ensure compliance
· Conduct safety inspections and document findings
· Manage the project's ID06 registration
· Conduct Health and Safety incident exercises for all in the project and document these
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of improvement, safety, health, and occupational health work who enjoys being on project sites and is driven by communication, structured, and solution-oriented.
You should have relevant post-secondary education such as a KY education, construction engineering degree, health and safety training, or equivalent work experience. You have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role with good references.
