We're now seeking two unit managers as our current managers are moving on to other roles and new assignments within the municipality. JOB DUTIES As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for your operation and lead it toward set goals with focus on quality, security, and a good work environment. The role includes, among other things: • creating safe and high-quality care for residents • being a present manager who identifies needs and creates participation • planning, following up on, and developing operations based on goals, needs, and quality • having responsibility for personnel, work environment, and finances • working systematically with work environment and employee relations • ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with laws, guidelines, and municipality goals • translating goals and strategies into operational activities • creating structure and clarity in daily operations while being able to handle changed conditions • collaborating with other operations, professions, relatives, and external stakeholders • driving improvement and development work together with employees. Your direct manager is the social welfare director, and you're part of the Social Welfare Administration's management team. Together, you lead and develop the Social Welfare Administration's operations based on set goals and strategies. Through good support from your manager, your management colleagues, and central support functions, you'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you who have: • relevant university education, for example in social work, healthcare and care, behavioral science, or other education that the employer considers equivalent • experience working as a manager or leader, preferably within healthcare and care • good understanding of work environment, personnel matters, and operational development • good digital skills and ability to use digital tools as a natural part of work. As a person, you're a confident and clear leader who easily builds trust and good relationships. You see the value of being close to operations and listen to your employees' experiences and ideas. You can make decisions, set direction, and follow up while creating participation and engagement. You're solution-oriented, structured, and able to prioritize when conditions change. You see opportunities in development and change and have the courage to try new approaches when it can create better quality for the elderly and better conditions for employees. Salary range: The salary for the position is currently within the interval 43,000-54,000 per month, based on 2026 salary levels. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
