About the Job One of our unit managers is moving on to another position within the administration. Therefore, we are now seeking a unit manager who wants to continue leading and developing the Child and Youth Investigation Unit. Together with your fellow manager, you will be responsible for the investigation unit, which consists of 28 social workers, five senior social workers, and one social administrator. As our new unit manager, you will join the department's management group, which consists of a department manager and 9 unit managers. Within the Child and Youth Department, all social services activities directed toward children and young people as well as intimate partner violence are located, enabling very close collaboration and opportunities for cross-boundary cooperation for the child's best interest. The management group's guiding principle is a unified department where everyone shares the same goals and collaboration is a prerequisite for achieving them. Daily work is also characterized by collaboration with other administrations, based on a perspective of "the whole child, the whole day, the whole week." The goal is for children to grow up at home with good living conditions and to achieve the school's objectives. Work Tasks The management assignment includes driving knowledge-based, systematic, and creative development and quality work. As a unit manager, you are required to have close leadership and through this engage, enthuse, and work toward a good work environment. You have operational responsibility for all parts of the operation, finances, personnel, work environment, and services, but to lead the operation in the right direction, you need to work at a strategic level with long-term goals. You work with targets and governance, monthly metrics, finances, and follow-up, where you regularly report to your department manager. Internal and external collaboration is central to efficient shared resource utilization. This position includes a clear mandate to drive and develop operations in line with the new social services intentions, meaning that our operations should meet residents as early as possible. Who Are We Looking For? You have the ability to work independently and have high initiative. You must have a clear user perspective with the individual's best interest in focus, where collaboration both internally and externally is self-evident. You have high demands for legal certainty and quality. You are solution-focused, results- and goal-oriented, and interested in method and operational development. You advocate for participation, engagement, collaboration, and motivate your staff. You are an accessible, clear, and communicative manager with good collaboration skills. You need the ability to maintain structure and efficiency under pressure. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Qualifications You must be a social worker (socionom) or have equivalent education. You must have experience working with official authority and have good knowledge of legislation in the relevant areas of operation. Previous experience in management within this field.
