At Mölndals stad, we are proud to have Sweden's most important work, where together we create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's daily lives every day! The City Services Department has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and departments in Mölndals stad. The department has approximately 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and facility services, water and recycling, city maintenance, and support and customer services. The City Services Department is in an exciting development phase. We are working to create efficient, sustainable, and modern service solutions and are now seeking a unit manager who wants to lead and develop our Operations Development and Digitalization unit. The unit supports and drives development throughout the City Services Department and works closely with both the department's operations and management as well as other parts of Mölndals stad. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a unit manager, you report to the operations manager and are part of the operational area's management team, where together with other managers you contribute to the whole and the continued development of the City Services Department. As unit manager for Operations Development and Digitalization, you lead a unit with a broad, department-wide mission. The unit consists of operations developers, communicators, and system managers. Together, the unit contributes to developing work methods, processes, and services based on operational needs. The unit has an important role in identifying needs and opportunities, creating structure, and driving development initiatives from idea and analysis to implementation and follow-up. You lead, prioritize, and create conditions for your employees while being active in the department's strategic development work. As a manager, you build trust and clarity, give employees the mandate and space to use their expertise, and follow up that the unit's work contributes to operational goals. You are responsible for creating direction and priorities for the unit's work and for ensuring that development initiatives translate into concrete operational benefits. You need to be able to move between the strategic and operational levels. One moment you are discussing long-term development, priorities, and strategic choices in a management group, the next moment you need to work with employees and operations to understand a concrete need and find the way forward. Because the unit's mission is built on collaboration, you need to build good relationships and trust, both within your own unit and with operations and partners. You bring together different perspectives, challenge when necessary, and create conditions for people to work together toward common goals. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a confident, structured, and development-oriented leader with the ability to create direction, engagement, and results. You have a genuine interest in operations development and understand how digitalization and new ways of working can be used as tools to develop an organization. We are looking for you who have: • university education that the employer considers relevant for the assignment • documented management experience with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances • experience leading operations development and change management • experience working strategically and translating strategy into practical implementation Experience leading in a politically governed organization and working in municipal operations is a merit. Experience in communication, service development, process development, project or portfolio management, and digital transformation is also a merit. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Entry date according to agreement. We see diversity as a strength and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds. We want to inform you that your application is a public document according to the principle of public access. If you have protected personal data, you should NOT apply through the system but contact the responsible recruiting manager for handling of your application. Contact information can be found in the job posting. Before a possible employment, we will check citizenship. The identification is used only to confirm your identity in the systems. In preparation for the recruitment work, we have taken a position on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact with media sales representatives, recruitment sites, and similar.
