We're now seeking a unit manager who wants to help shape the future of operational HR support at Kronofogden. About the role We're undergoing an organizational change where we're splitting the HR department into two units: one for operational HR support and one for talent acquisition and recruitment. The goal is to create a cohesive strategic HR delivery with a broader mandate. The new operational HR support unit will consist of HR partners, negotiation expertise, and specialist roles in work environment, labor law, and compensation. As unit manager, you're responsible for: - leading and developing the unit toward greater strategic depth, knowledge, and clear operational focus - ensuring a cohesive, unified, and equitable employer policy - ensuring that competence and working methods meet future needs and create efficient processes and continuous learning - planning, leading, and monitoring the unit's delivery and contributing to the HR department's shared mission, goals, and direction You have personnel responsibility for the unit's employees, participate in the HR department's management group, and report to the HR Director based in Sundbyberg. As unit manager, you have operational, personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for your unit. You translate overarching goals and strategies into clear assignments. As a member of the department's management group, you share responsibility for leading and developing the department together with your colleagues. You collaborate within and outside the agency to achieve results and create value for our customers. You're expected to practice close leadership even when you and your employees work in different locations. As unit manager, you'll be based in Stockholm or alternatively in Gothenburg, Malmö, or Östersund. About you As a manager at Kronofogden, you're expected to uphold our leadership criteria and employee policy. You practice close leadership that enables active employee engagement. You have the ability to lead through change and develop operations through continuous improvements. Your analytical abilities mean you can handle a high degree of complexity in your work and understand how different parts of the organization affect each other. You think strategically and act decisively, even when the path forward is unclear. As a unit manager, you show great confidence in your section managers' abilities while remaining ultimately responsible for results and quality. You communicate in a way that creates participation and engagement, and you have the ability to collaborate and promote a good work environment. Being a manager and leader means both challenging others and being open to being challenged about approaches and methods. Your qualifications: - university degree primarily in HR with at least 180 credits (120 points) - several years of current and relevant managerial experience in HR - current experience leading work in areas such as labor law, cooperation, work environment, wages, and terms of employment - current experience representing the operational area in dialogue with labor organizations - current experience leading and supporting operations through ongoing change and development work - current experience ensuring that central HR processes are implemented and adapted to the operational area's specific needs, and when necessary, clearly representing the operational area's conditions It's desirable that you've completed management and leadership training. It's also desirable that you have experience leading remotely. About us Kronofogden is a Swedish government agency with an important mission. We work close to people in vulnerable situations. Good to know The position is a permanent employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. You'll be employed as an investigator and receive a manager's assignment for five years. If you're already employed at Kronofogden, you'll remain in your base position during the assignment period. Travel is part of the job. Kronofogden offers the opportunity to work remotely by agreement with the employer. Working in the state means you follow the state's core values. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. Any information obtained is taken into account in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position. Employment with us may involve placement in a security clearance class. A security vetting with register checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision is made.
