Eskilsgården is a new special care facility in Vellinge municipality scheduled to open in early 2027. The facility will have 66 beds distributed across 7 units specializing in dementia care, somatic care, and short-term care. The facility will also include a day care program with capacity for 15 residents.
Vellinge municipality prioritizes close leadership, which means there will be two unit managers on site at Eskilsgården.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a unit manager, you have the opportunity to make a difference for our future residents at Eskilsgården's special care facility. The role includes leading, developing, and monitoring operations within the framework of quality, staff, work environment, and budget. For us, it is important that you work closely with the operation and that your leadership is characterized by a desire to work together with your colleagues, residents, families, and other staff to drive the operation forward. We work according to the vision "best possible quality of life for you" and strive for high satisfaction among residents and families. The operation must be run with high quality and with a balanced budget. We believe you will be highly involved in developing municipal elder care by bringing new perspectives and ways of thinking.
During the first month, you will be part of the startup project team, which will be an intensive period before our first residents move in at the beginning of March. The work will be characterized by startup activities, which means flexibility in tasks—therefore, we see it as highly valuable if you as a candidate have experience with startups and recruitment.
The position also includes on-call duty as manager every ninth week.
QUALIFICATIONS
We require at least 7 years of experience in a management position or equivalent within elder care or other experience that the employer deems appropriate. We appreciate if you are specially trained in dementia care, and it is an advantage if you are a licensed nurse.
Great importance will be placed on personal qualities in relation to leadership. Understanding the bigger picture in operations is a given for you, and the resident will always be the focus in all your decisions and management of your unit.
You should be able to independently take responsibility for your own work tasks and also take responsibility for the overall results and do what is required for the organization to achieve its goals. We appreciate if you are solution-focused while also being transparent in your work.
One of the major tasks will be to create a good culture where resident focus is always at the center. Being able to identify how the organization's parts affect each other and external events that could impact operations is essential. We see it as self-evident that you act with a holistic view for the organization's benefit. Working goal-based, carrying out activities, and working focused on meeting management and political requirements and expectations for the operation is of great importance.
Planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently is important in this role.
