Authority administration for support and care has approximately 270 employees with different competencies responsible for investigation and follow-up of interventions for adults, children, and youth. We are now seeking a unit manager for adult investigation (+18 years) with a focus on substance abuse, criminality, and domestic violence. The unit has approximately 30 social workers, 2 unit managers, and 2 group leaders responsible for intake work, investigations, and follow-up of interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and in certain cases the Act on Care of Substance Abusers (LVM) and Act on Care of Young People (LVU). We are looking for someone who is development-oriented and wants to lead the operations based on a holistic view of the citizen and their needs, with high employee participation. Your Tasks Within the area of authority administration, quality work is ongoing aimed at coordinating interventions and meeting the individual and their needs with different competencies. This means that as someone interested in this assignment, you will be part of an important change process. Part of the development of coordination also means that we need to reorganize and work closely together within authority administration to create conditions for new working methods. This means that this assignment will be formulated toward the new coordinated authority administration. Your contribution will be to lead your employees toward the target vision in close collaboration with other units and management colleagues. As a unit manager, you have employer responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel, and you are part of the assistant operations manager's management group. You have overall responsibility for ensuring that work is conducted according to the laws, regulations, and guidelines that govern the operations. Together with your employees, safety representatives, and management colleagues, you work continuously on workplace environment issues and for a good work environment in the unit. The role also includes driving, planning, evaluating, analyzing, and developing the operational area to meet the target group's needs and future challenges. To assist you, you have support functions within, among others, finance, quality, and workplace environment. You participate in various networks and working groups linked to your assignment and play an important role in good collaboration with other units and operations both within and outside the municipality. You are responsive, structured, and have the ability to utilize your employees' drive, resources, and desire for development. You create good relationships and trust by being clear and having a respectful approach where you create mutual trust with your employees. We are looking for someone who: is a social worker or has other equivalent education It is meritorious if you: have several years of experience with authority administration work within social services have previous experience working as a manager or have experience leading/coordinating colleagues in development work/processes or participated in an internal trainee program for future managers have experience with leadership in a politically governed organization We offer you a stimulating role where you get to take great responsibility and work in close collaboration with other unit managers to develop the operations together.
