Tasks and Responsibilities Do you have a passion for leading operations where people are at the center and engagement makes a difference? Would you like to manage an LSS residential facility operated as an internal enterprise, where you have the mandate and considerable freedom to develop the operation? Then we're looking for you! We are now seeking a calm and present unit manager for one of our LSS residential facilities in southwestern Gothenburg. The facility is operated as an internal enterprise, which means that you as unit manager, together with your staff, have greater freedom and a unique influence over how the operation is shaped, working methods, and finances. This gives you a shorter decision-making path and greater opportunities to shape the future of care. The assignment is complex and places high demands on both operational management, care, and educational leadership. The support you'll receive is a calm, competent and engaged team of just over 20 permanent employees plus temporary staff, support from a competent HSL team, and a smooth introduction from the current unit manager who will also remain available as support in the district for an additional period before retirement. Your role will be to lead, develop and create conditions for our users to gain increased participation and influence in their lives. Your responsibilities include budget, personnel and work environment management, as well as operational development. Labor union cooperation is also an important and natural part of the role. As unit manager you'll have an exciting and meaningful role within the Department for Disability Support, where we work to meet the needs of people with various types of functional variations. Together we contribute to creating an inclusive society. You'll be part of an engaged and cohesive management group with 11 other unit managers, an operations developer and a methodology developer. Together with the other management groups in southwest we also have a staffing controller. Here it's about cooperation, dialogue and consideration – we help each other, share experiences and solve things together (even when there's a lot on our plates). Qualifications We are looking for someone with a relevant university education of at least three years in this field, such as a degree in social work, social care or behavioral science, or another education that the employer considers equivalent. We see that you have previous experience working as a manager with personnel, work environment and budget responsibility within disability support, healthcare and care or another closely related area of operation. You have good knowledge of current legislation and experience working according to SoL, LSS and HSL. We would also like to see that you have experience working in a politically governed organization and if you possess knowledge of Gothenburg City's management and quality tools, that is a plus. We are looking for someone who is calm and confident in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You also need to have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without being dependent on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward. You are attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings and opinions. You are receptive to what others say or express and show respect, consideration and care in your interactions.
