Home care services are part of Support in Ordinary Housing, the municipality's provider of home care, with the mission to offer support and service initiatives to elderly people. JOB DUTIES As a unit manager, you can expect varied work where you meet fantastic colleagues, users, relatives, and co-workers in different roles. The role involves close contact with many different people, which requires you to be flexible, able to reprioritize when needed, and at the same time have the ability to delve into complex issues. The role of unit manager is largely strategic, with responsibility for developing, leading, and creating conditions for a long-term sustainable and efficient operation. You are responsible for implementing the organization's goals and strategies in practice and ensuring quality, results, and development within the unit. In parallel with the strategic work, you also handle operational issues and daily operations when the organization requires it. As part of the management team for Support in Ordinary Housing, you are part of a context with other unit managers who are ready to offer support and collaborate to drive the organization forward. Together you create a work environment with a high ceiling and lots of laughter. You will also have access to support from the area manager as well as support functions in quality, finance, and HR when you need it. QUALIFICATIONS To thrive in this role, it is essential that you have a passion for working with elderly care and that you appreciate collaboration with others. We value close and coaching-style leadership, which you will experience from your own manager. You are a present and unpretentious leader who sees colleagues, users, and their relatives as important assets. To meet these different people, you need to have good communication and interpersonal skills. The formal requirements for this position include a university degree, for example as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or another education that we deem appropriate. We would like you to have broad knowledge and experience in health and care, as well as previous leadership experience. Knowledge of and experience working with people who have cognitive impairment or dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease, is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
