The Unit Manager Role at Our Organization
We are convinced that leadership works best when shared – therefore we build on shared leadership. To create good conditions, we offer regular coaching in the role.
At Björkris, you are responsible for your own unit, but you are also part of a shared leadership model where you, together with three manager colleagues, contribute to the whole and handle overarching matters for the entire facility. Here you get the chance to become part of a driven team that loves training and having fun at work.
Your responsibilities on your units include personnel, finances, business development, as well as follow-up and quality work. You will lead and develop your units together with competent employees, between 25-30 per manager.
Of course, you ensure that the operations work in accordance with relevant regulations.
In this role, you also enter the newly established District East management group, which is a forum for managers and support functions. Here we support, challenge, and develop each other in an open climate to create a good everyday life for our residents and for us who work here.
Your Profile
We are looking for you as a clear and communicative leader with the ability to create structure and security during change. You have good analytical skills and can handle complex matters with both strategic perspective and operational presence. You work goal- and results-oriented, with focus on quality, development, and sustainability. We see that you have a listening approach to your surroundings and that you, despite several considerations, can independently make decisions and stand by them.
You have:
experience being a manager with full personnel responsibility in a relevant field.
It is meritorious if you have:
relevant experience with shared leadership, where collaboration and shared responsibility are central.
relevant experience leading an employee group within a personnel-intensive 24-hour operation, preferably experience from home care and/or care and housing facilities.
You express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing, as this is required in daily work. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Björkris Care and Housing Facility
We are Kungsbacka's largest residential facility. It was completed in 2023 and has capacity for 120 care recipients. The facility is located in a nature-near environment in Hede. Walking distance from Hede commuter station. Björkris is a 24-hour operation consisting of 12 departments within somatic care, dementia care, and geropsychiatry.

All our managers get to take the "Developing Leadership" course, UL. In addition, we have a customized introduction program for our managers so you feel well prepared for the assignment.
