About the Operation At the Obstetrics and Maternity Ward/Gynecological Care Unit 12 in Sundsvall, we have approximately 80 employees and handle about 1,300 deliveries per year. The operation has shared leadership with two unit managers and an assistant unit manager who provides support. Our staff includes a combined expertise of midwives, nurses, and nursing assistants. We work closely with the hospital's neonatal department located in nearby facilities. At our workplace, we work with continuous improvements in operations to create a good work environment, efficient processes, and to meet patient needs. The unit is part of the Regional Obstetrics and Gynecology Operations in Västernorrland. The assignment involves close collaboration with managers and employees throughout the regional operations to create equitable, safe, and sustainable care in the region. As a unit manager, you will be part of the regional operations management team and actively contribute to the strategic development of the operations. We are now seeking a unit manager! The position is a permanent employment in the base profession, and the management appointment is time-limited according to the Region's leadership policy as a guideline. As a manager in Region Västernorrland, you represent the employer and exercise leadership that is grounded in good self-awareness and characterized by honesty, openness, sense of responsibility, and personal courage. Duties Work is conducted according to jointly developed goals, priorities, and values for the clinic. As a unit manager, you will: - Assume responsibility for improvement and development work within the unit. - Lead, coordinate, plan, and follow up the unit's work based on quality, economics, and personnel. - Work with patient safety, care quality, and employees' work environment. - Collaborate with other operations within the region, other societal actors, and with union representatives. - Play an important role as a culture builder and role model for all unit employees. - Participate in the regional operations management team and contribute to the strategic development of operations from a regional perspective.
