The Learning and Education Sector is building a modern and cohesive education organization where children and young people from preschool to upper secondary school meet high expectations, equity, and a strong belief in every individual's potential to go as far as possible. Sundbyberg's preschools consist of 8 rector areas and one development center. Sundbyberg's schools consist of 7 primary schools, one adapted primary school, one upper secondary school, and Sundbybergs Globala. We are now seeking a unit manager who, with great commitment and a quality focus, wants to continue developing Sundbybergs Globala. Globala works together with the city's schools following our vision "What do you want to be when you grow up? We make it possible!" and the goal is to give our students the best possible start in life, both academically and socially. Here at Sundbybergs Globala, we have gathered all mother tongue teachers and study counselors who work in our municipal schools. There are 29 employees and we currently offer instruction in 30 languages. Globala's mission is to provide mother tongue instruction and study counseling. Additionally, Globala is responsible for introductory conversations and assessments of newly arrived students in both primary and upper secondary schools. Organizationally, the unit is placed under the head of primary and upper secondary schools. The Globala unit holds joint workplace meetings, study days, and continuously works on developing the unit's operations and work environment. As a unit manager, your task is to lead the day-to-day operations and be responsible for all teachers. You are Globala's pedagogical leader and work to develop the quality of teaching in collaboration with Globala's senior teachers and teachers. You are tasked with leading the operations toward set goals and creating conditions for increased goal fulfillment. As a unit manager in Sundbyberg city, you are part of the municipality's engaged rector group where we value a sharing culture and collaboration. The city has several support functions within, for example, finance, law, HR, and quality that you collaborate with regularly. We are looking for you who have a pedagogical university education as your foundation, with teacher certification. You also have experience being a unit manager for mother tongue teachers/a mother tongue unit. It is a merit if you have completed a rector program and/or other leadership training. You are quality-conscious and work purposefully to ensure that the operations achieve good results. Follow-up and feedback are important parts of your systematic quality work. You are structured and have the ability to coordinate and organize operations. You have high expectations, are positive, and lead Globala in a way that makes employees thrive and develop and gives students good conditions to reach their full potential. We see that you are a clear, attentive, and committed leader and that you are confident in yourself and your leadership. You are good at collaborating, are unpretentious, and have a good ability to create trusting relationships. With presence and trustful communication, you are driven to develop the operations.
