The Service Administration in Varberg Municipality is responsible for important support functions that contribute to well-functioning municipal operations. Within Food Services and Cleaning, the operations work to offer good, nutritious meals and create clean, safe, and pleasant environments for the municipality's residents, students, clients, and employees. The Food Services and Cleaning Department is now seeking a unit manager who, in close collaboration with the administration's customers, employees, and colleagues, wants to further develop the operations. We warmly welcome your application!

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
You will lead operations at several geographically dispersed workplaces where you have close collaboration with employees and customers. The role involves working both strategically and operatively to develop the operations, create good conditions for employees, and ensure high quality in delivery to our customers.
As a unit manager, you drive change and development work within meal services and facility management operations. You actively work with digital tools, tracking key metrics, and continuous improvements to create efficient and sustainable work methods. You work with a high degree of independence while also maintaining close collaboration with fellow managers.
You are responsible for finances, results, personnel, and work environment in an area consisting of approximately 30 employees distributed across several units and a budget of approximately 20 million SEK. You are part of the department's management team.
Your work responsibilities also include:
- Lead workplace meetings
- Coach, lead, and develop employee competencies
- Scheduling and recruitment
- Ensure quality of procedures and work methods
- Budget work, results, and target tracking
- Customer contact with principals and operations managers
QUALIFICATIONS
You have relevant higher education for the position, preferably as a food economist or other education deemed equivalent.
Further requirements for the position are:
- Management experience including personnel and results responsibility
- Experience from service-oriented operations
- Operations responsibility for restaurant operations, large-scale kitchens, and/or facility management
Particularly valuable experience for the position includes:
- Facility Management and/or facility maintenance
- Work with continuous improvements or change management
- Leading at a distance
You are a confident leader who builds trust through clarity, commitment, and good judgment. You have the ability to make decisions, prioritize when circumstances change, and create structure in a day-to-day environment with many contact points.
