We are seeking a Unit Manager for the Communications Department. With us, you will work with current societal issues that are shaped by what happens in our surrounding world. Your Assignment The Swedish Migration Agency is in a development phase where the need for change communication and the ability to communicate proactively, uniformly, and clearly to different target groups is of great importance. At the same time, digital development creates new opportunities and conditions for communications work. You will be one of three unit managers who, together with the Communications Director and the department's employees, develop working methods and strengthen internal and external collaborations. You lead a unit responsible for planned communication, overall language care work, and plain language and accessibility work in the agency's templates and forms. The unit also works with employer branding, management communication, and developing the department's capacity for crisis and crisis communication in acute situations. Your assignment is to lead and coach the unit's 15 employees in various tasks, and develop the unit's expert support to operations in different assignments, during change, and in crisis situations. You are part of the department's management team, take active responsibility for the whole, and contribute at the strategic level that work in a management team entails. You have personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for your employees. Who Are You? You are an experienced leader with the ability to work in a coaching, visionary, and strategic manner. You have a natural ability to build relationships, are transparent, inclusive, and confident in making decisions even in complex and rapidly changing situations. You Have Academic education in communications, journalism, or social sciences, or other education combined with current and relevant experience Managerial experience in communications with personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility Experience driving and developing communications in a complex and politically governed organization Experience working in a management team Good skills in speaking and writing in both Swedish and English It Is Advantageous If You Have Worked in a crisis/staff organization or in an operation with high demands for preparedness and rapid communication Experience developing management communication Information Employment form: Permanent employment (probation period applies) Working hours: Office hours with possibility of agreement on trust-based working hours Salary form: We apply individual salary setting Work location: Stockholm or Norrköping, travel to other locations occurs in the position Start date for the position: by agreement If you have questions about the position, please feel free to contact Eva Carlstedt.
