WORK DUTIES In Lessebo Municipality, we are now looking for a driving and inspiring unit manager who wants to further develop our operations and our employees within the Disability Support Services area. The area includes personal assistance, companions, and respite care. We value your commitment and your ability to see opportunities instead of obstacles. As a unit manager, you work close to operations in the daily work of supporting and inspiring employees where you contribute to creating a good work environment. You will have great opportunities to develop and drive your units forward. As a manager, your task is to organize, plan, and lead operations in line with legislation and the board's established goals. You will become a unit manager responsible for personnel, budget, and work environment within disability support services. You should therefore have good knowledge of the laws governing our operations, such as the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Your work duties include operational assignments such as responsibility for implementation issues, leading, planning and developing operations, and working with employees to translate political decisions into quality services. The work also includes being an on-call manager according to a rotating schedule. As one of six unit managers, you are part of the management group within healthcare and social services together with the operations manager. You and your fellow managers have close collaboration where you see the value in sharing each other's knowledge. Quality development and common strategies are our main focus. You will lead an exciting operation within healthcare and social services in Lessebo Municipality, and we offer you a versatile, stimulating, and meaningful job. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a college or university degree that is suitable for the assignment, such as a social worker or behavioral scientist, or other relevant academic education that the employer deems equivalent. Previous experience as a leader and manager within personal assistance is an asset. As a unit manager, you have the ability to take initiative from a holistic perspective and engage and motivate your employees to work toward established goals in a quality manner. You are creative and have thoughts and ideas about development in a changing operation. Your leadership is well-developed and in your managerial role, you are action-oriented, clear, and decisive.
