The HR department's shared mission is to support operations in achieving their goals through active, trustworthy, and courageous partnership. We are one of Northern Sweden's largest HR departments, with approximately 80 employees, and together we achieve broad and valuable expertise. Management Support is a new unit within the HR department, where HR consultants specialize in leadership, work environment, competency supply, and recruitment.

Since the unit is new, in your role as unit manager you will have the opportunity to help build it up. DUTIES
As a unit manager with us, you see the whole picture and lead us forward with courage. You challenge and develop, and you encourage and highlight your employees. You take responsibility for your operations and represent the employer by leading and developing toward set goals for Region Västerbotten's benefit.
You lead the unit with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances, while also serving as close HR support to the Director of Health and Medical Care and an active member of both HR's and health and medical care's management group. The unit consists of 10 HR consultants and you act as a bridge between core health care operations and the HR department. You identify needs, prioritize, and coordinate HR initiatives within areas such as competency supply, work environment, leadership, employee engagement, and recruitment. Through strategic, courageous, and trustworthy partnership, you contribute to developing the organization's long-term ability to meet future competency challenges and create sustainable workplaces.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in human resources or equivalent. You have good knowledge of HR-related legislation. You also have experience working operatively and strategically with HR issues. It is desirable that you also have experience in politically governed organizations.
In the role of unit manager, you need to have leadership experience, and we consider it an advantage if you have completed a leadership training program.
You are relationship-oriented and want to understand others' perspectives. You are open and share yourself, and you are curious with the ability to think in new ways. The job as unit manager is varied and will offer challenges that require both long-term persistence and strategy as well as flexibility and creativity.
