You are part of a team of engaged unit managers who together lead and develop home care services. You receive close support and collaborate with quality and support functions within HR, finance and administration. The Support, Care and Social Services Department is a department focused on innovation and development. The department employs around 750 employees within the operations of special housing, home care, functional support, health and medical care, and the assistance unit. The core business of the department is to conduct person-centered care, nursing and rehabilitation and provide support and assistance for people to live an independent life. Within home care, we work in a person-centered manner with the user's needs in focus. The work is based on the individual's abilities, needs and conditions in all parts of the care and health process. A good relationship and mutual respect between users and staff is an important part. It is about creating simple and clear pathways into care, safeguarding self-determination and participation, and utilizing the individual's own resources. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, finances and work environment for your unit. Your focus is to create a safe, high-quality and person-centered care for our citizens, while building a sustainable and pleasant workplace for your employees. Main responsibilities • Leadership and personnel: You lead, coach and support employees. You are responsible for recruitment, employee meetings, rehabilitation and driving systematic work environment management (SAM). • Operations and quality: You ensure that operations develop and maintain good quality and are conducted in accordance with laws, regulations and in line with the municipality's political goals. You work with incident management, systematic quality work and drive the implementation of modern welfare technology. • Finance and administration: You have budget responsibility and actively work with resource optimization and schedule planning to ensure balanced finances. • Collaboration: As a unit manager, you are responsible for connecting care personnel, the health and medical care team and benefit officers into a well-functioning whole around the individual user. You also need to establish good collaboration with users, relatives and union representatives to create both safe care and a sustainable work environment for staff. Together with nine other managers, you are part of home care's management group where you contribute to developing the entire municipality's elderly care. To assist you in your daily work, you have a coordination function and the opportunity to work with ombudsman roles and specialist competencies. QUALIFICATIONS Formal competencies • Bachelor's degree (180 credits) • Good IT skills and experience working with digital systems. • Leadership experience is meritorious, preferably in elderly care. You have a strong ability to organize, follow up and ensure that operations are conducted with quality and efficiency. You have well-developed collaboration skills and enjoy working with employees, colleagues and other collaborative partners. Through your relationship-building approach, you build trusting relationships and create good conditions for collaboration. Furthermore, you have good verbal communication skills and can convey information, provide feedback and create understanding for the business's goals and mission in a clear and attentive manner.
