The Care Administration works on the basis that all people we meet have equal value and are unique. Within the administration, we have IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home care services, and special residential facilities. Here, approximately 900 employees work around the clock for our target groups. 1 position(s). Do you want to lead a service that makes a difference in people's everyday lives every day? Home care services in Avesta Municipality is divided into five units, each responsible for different geographic areas. Our unit managers work closely together in a management group characterized by collaboration, solution-focused thinking, and collegial support. We are now recruiting a unit manager for Kornknarren's home care services in central Avesta. Kornknarren is part of a joint planning area together with Rågens home care services, which means close collaboration between the units. The operations include a unit administrator responsible for planning and support in daily operations. Our overarching goal is the right service at the right time – with competence, quality, and security. As a unit manager, you have an important role in translating this goal into well-functioning daily operations for both service users and employees. Job Responsibilities As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, working environment, and budget, and you lead your unit toward set goals. You are responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, political decisions, and municipal governance. The service user perspective is central, and you work to ensure that resources are used optimally and that each individual receives home care services characterized by quality, continuity, and security. You lead and allocate work and create conditions for your employees. Personnel responsibility includes recruitment, rehabilitation, and systematic workplace environment management. You monitor operations based on quality, results, and economics. An important part of the assignment is developing the service. Digitalization and welfare technology are becoming increasingly important in care and social services, and we are seeking someone who can implement new solutions for concrete benefit to service users, employees, and operations. You maintain ongoing contact with service users and relatives and collaborate with various professionals and stakeholders. In support of your management role, you have access to, among others, a unit administrator, HR consultant, recruiter, and accountant. As a unit manager, you are part of the operational area's management group. Joint planning between services means we look at the whole picture and help each other use our shared resources wisely and effectively. Qualifications We are seeking someone with a university degree in a relevant field, such as social work, nursing, or behavioral science, or another university degree that the employer deems equivalent. You have a genuine interest in elderly care and home care services' mission, and you understand the importance of creating quality and security for people who receive support in their own homes. Experience from work in home care services or special residential facilities is a merit, as is previous experience as a manager within the operational field. You have good digital competence and an interest in how digitalization and welfare technology can contribute to operational development. Knowledge of or experience with planning tools is desirable. It is a merit if you have experience in systematic workplace environment management, politically governed organizations, and economic planning and follow-up. The position requires a valid B driving license and good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Who are you? The role involves many contact points, and we place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate and build trustful relationships. You are self-driven in your assignment but see the value of being part of a team where we share knowledge, help each other, and contribute to the whole. Employment type: Permanent employment.
