The unit is responsible for ensuring Karolinska University Hospital's needs for facility maintenance, patient meals, staff clothing and other textiles, as well as contract monitoring of SHP/Coor's NKS delivery. About the position As a unit manager, you hold overall responsibility for operations, employees, and budget. You lead a unit that currently consists of ten qualified employees: three project managers, five contract controllers, and two FM coordinators. Your task is to ensure that our FM services meet operational needs and that suppliers deliver the right quality, at the right cost, and according to contract. You are responsible for developing the unit's approach to contract, quality, and supplier management and creating conditions for a structured, business-minded, and proactive way of working. An important part of the assignment is also driving development. Together with the unit's project managers, you translate operational needs into improvements and development initiatives that strengthen our services over time. You participate in the department's management group together with the department manager and other unit managers. Qualifications Requirements: Relevant academic degree in, for example, economics, engineering, law, property/facility management, public administration, or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent. Relevant further education in management and project management At least 10 years of management experience with personnel, operational, and budget responsibility. Experience with contract and supplier management. Experience in operational development and change management. Experience with quality, finance, and delivery monitoring. Experience with management group work and strategic work. Very good Swedish and good English, spoken and written. Meritorious: Management/leadership experience in FM, service, logistics, or property Financial and commercial responsibility for large contract volumes Experience with complex outsourcing and major suppliers Experience in specifying public procurements and LOU Experience with KPI, SLA, quality and supplier monitoring At least 5 years of project management experience Experience from healthcare or other critical societal operations.
