About the Activity Financial assistance is an important part of the social services mandate. Here we meet people who need support on their journey toward self-sufficiency and a more independent life. We want to create more space for social work and reduce administration that doesn't add value for residents or the organization. That's why we work with digitalization, automation, and simplified processes. The goal isn't technology for its own sake, but to free up time for relationships, collaboration, and change work. As part of our activity, you'll work with engaged colleagues, have the opportunity to influence, and have the mandate to develop both the activity and working methods. You'll also receive support in your own leadership and the opportunity to grow with the role. Responsibilities As a unit manager, you share responsibility with two colleagues for personnel, work environment, finances, quality, and results. You lead close to operations and create conditions for your employees to succeed in their role. Your assignment is to create conditions for professional, legally secure, and developmental social work. This includes, among other things: providing clear frameworks and professional autonomy creating conditions for legally sound assessments and good quality enabling relational social work and close support to individuals following up on operations and using results as a basis for learning and development strengthening collaboration and shared responsibility building a culture characterized by learning, development, and participation together with employees and colleagues developing working methods and operations. You need to be able to set direction without micromanaging, delegate authority while maintaining oversight, and be present when things get difficult. For us, development is not a side project. It's part of the management role. You therefore need to be curious about what can be done better, dare to try new working methods, and be able to turn ideas into change in everyday operations. Qualifications You have relevant higher education, for example a degree in social work, or other higher education that the employer deems relevant. You have experience in social work and authority work, as well as leadership experience. Experience in financial assistance or a related area is a merit, as is knowledge and experience of motivational interviewing (MI). You don't need to have been a formal manager - we're more interested in what you've done and achieved than what title you've held. We'd like to see that you have experience in developing operations and employees, driving change and development work, and working with goals, results, and follow-up. You have an understanding of finances and resource use and experience with collaboration. Since digitalization is an important part of social services development, we'd also like to see that you have experience using digital tools and working methods within social services. As a person, you are present and responsive in your leadership. You create clarity and direction, engage your employees, and make things happen. You build trusting relationships and find it easy to collaborate with different parts of the organization and other actors. You are curious, courageous, and see opportunities for development, while taking advantage of what already works. You can listen to different perspectives, make decisions when needed, and adapt your communication to the situation and audience. You don't need to know everything. But you need to want to understand, dare to try, and learn along the way. Do you recognize yourself?
