We at Engelska Skolan Novia, Årstadal (Liljeholmen) are now looking for positive and responsible substitute teachers who can step in on short notice when our regular staff are absent. With us, you'll work in a dynamic environment with wonderful students and supportive colleagues. The job is perfect for you if you're studying (ideally to become a teacher/pedagogue), want to gain experience in educational work, or are looking for a meaningful side job. About the Position As a substitute teacher, you'll replace classroom teachers, subject teachers, or after-school coordinators during short-term absences (e.g., due to illness or training). Working hours can vary from a few hours to full days. Your Responsibilities Lead instruction in the classroom according to the regular teacher's lesson plans. Create a safe and productive work environment for students during the school day. Assist at the after-school program and engage students with activities after regular school hours. Supervise students during breaks and be available to help them. We're Looking for Someone Who Is flexible and proactive: You adapt easily to new situations and different classes. Is a confident leader: You are clear, calm, and can take charge in a classroom. Has strong collaboration skills: You communicate well with both children and adults. Speaks and writes good Swedish: This is required to follow and explain instructions. It is highly advantageous if you are studying to become a teacher, have previous experience working with children/youth, or have specific subject knowledge. Requirements Since we are a bilingual school where Swedish and English are a natural part of students' daily life, you must be comfortable communicating in both languages. By law, you must provide a valid criminal record certificate (for work in schools or preschools) before you can begin your employment. Order this in advance through the Police website.
