About the Position
Personal assistance is a service under LSS (The Act on Support and Service for People with Disabilities). As a personal assistant, your main responsibilities will be to help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth-functioning everyday. Each assistance is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
The client is a 25-year-old woman living in Grums. She has extensive care needs and requires help with all aspects of daily life. In her free time, she enjoys crafts, baking, going on outings, as well as swimming and taking walks.
Who Are You?
The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client.
For this position, you must:
have previous experience in personal assistance or other healthcare profession
have a driver's license and access to your own car, unless you live in Grums yourself
have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
tolerate pets, as a dog is present in the home
have the ability to accompany the client to the swimming facility and in the pool
be smoke-free during working hours
If you are living outside Grums, a driver's license and access to a car are required to get to the workplace, as public transportation does not align with the client's work hours.
For this position, it is advantageous if you:
have previous experience with epilepsy
have previous experience with tube feeding
Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary
The current employment form is "fixed-term employment" with an employment level of approximately 50%, until 2026-12-31. Working hours are scheduled on certain weekdays 6:30 AM–8:00 PM and every other weekend (even weeks) 8:00 AM–8:00 PM or 8:00 PM–8:00 AM with 4 hours on-call duty at night.
We are also looking for temporary workers who can work extra as needed under "hourly employment." Work shifts can be scheduled for day, evening, or night with 4 hours on-call duty at night.
Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
Start date immediate or by agreement.
