About the Operations We are part of the regional surgery/urology/ENT operations and have regional collaboration between our clinics and departments in Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik. The Surgery/Urology Clinic in Örnsköldsvik operates in shared premises with the Orthopedic Clinic, and therefore we have extensive collaboration between us. The Surgery/Urology Clinic currently has a total of 10 nurses distributed across surgery, urology, operative planning, and stoma care, as well as 5 nursing assistants. We are now seeking an endoscopy nurse to complement and strengthen our team at the endoscopy clinic in Örnsköldsvik. We are looking for you who are a trained endoscopy nurse, or alternatively, you who currently work as a nurse but are interested and drawn to becoming an endoscopy nurse. You should then have experience with endoscopy and have worked at least 5 years as a nurse. Training takes place online over 2 years. The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement. Responsibilities Independently perform gastroscopies and colonoscopies Colonial screening responsibility for Örnsköldsvik's service area Perform therapeutic treatments, for example polypectomies Diagnose tumors and inform patients, report to multidisciplinary rounds, and write radiology referrals Handle pathology results and respond to patients Dictation Documentation Qualifications We are looking for you who: Are a licensed nurse Have at least 5 years of experience working as a nurse Have previously worked with endoscopic examinations Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing It is meritorious if you: Have further education as an endoscopy nurse For success in this role, we believe you have these personal qualities: Self-directed Stable Collaboration ability Flexible Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several of the activities most important for residents' ability to participate in society.
