What We Do and Our Vision We are looking for someone who enjoys challenges and wants to work in a creative environment where learning is joyful. Play is important for children's learning and development, so the integration of play and teaching is central to our preschool's activities. We work with developmental pedagogy and play-responsive teaching, where educators teach by participating in children's play, providing factual knowledge, presenting children with various dilemmas, and giving them space to express their thoughts and ideas. To better understand our children's world and create a better learning environment, we have structured conversations with the children. At our preschool, children are co-creators of their knowledge and co-creators in their play. Centrum Preschools consists of Gunghästen and Pusslet preschools, located in Tyresö center near the forest and public transportation. At our preschools, we invest heavily in our educators and their professional development because we strongly believe that a competent and curious educator who is not afraid of challenges is the foundation for high-quality preschool education. We continuously work on quality development and offer various training, networks, and participation in the unit's quality development group, as well as in the municipality's forums for collegial learning. About the Position You are responsible for instruction and organizing an educational context where children have the conditions to develop into active participants and citizens. As a preschool teacher, you have overall responsibility for education in your unit and collaborate with everyone on the team to plan, implement, document, and develop education at our preschool based on current curriculum guidelines. Using the curriculum as your foundation, you meet each individual child based on their experience, knowledge, and specific circumstances. You work to create a safe, engaging, and educational preschool. You have a child rights perspective, a norm-critical and norm-creative perspective in your daily work, and you are willing to drive both your own development and the preschool's development forward. Your work is characterized by clear respect for the individual and good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You participate in the unit's pedagogical development group and have the opportunity to participate in several local and central initiatives. You receive scheduled time for personal reflection and team reflection, documentation, analysis, and follow-up. Who Are You? You hold a preschool teacher certification, have several years of experience as a preschool teacher, and have experience working with children in need of support. You see what needs to be done, take own initiatives in the activities, and drive the work forward with confidence in your profession. You have the ability to plan, organize, and follow up on pedagogical work in a thoughtful manner. You quickly create warm and trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, and you enjoy working as part of a team. You have the ability to work flexibly, you contribute creativity, reflection, and a positive spirit, and you see the value of collegial learning. You are a confident leader in the children's group who sets clear boundaries and creates a calm learning environment. The position is a permanent employment starting as soon as possible.
