Are you a solution-oriented attorney who enjoys solving complex problems? Do you want to work on important issues in a dynamic organization and make a difference? Do you have a future focus and enjoy finding solutions together with other attorneys and professionals? Here you'll work on highly relevant issues! About the Job The Legal Unit currently has 29 employees in Stockholm and Halmstad and together with the Review Unit forms the Legal Department. The Legal Department is responsible for the Swedish Pensions Agency's regulations, ensures consistency and clarity in how the agency applies its rules, and works to ensure that operations are conducted within the framework of applicable regulations. In a broad attorney position, you will work on many different issues both independently and together with your colleagues in teams. You will also collaborate with other functions within the agency, and sometimes with external actors. You will guide and support the organization on legal interpretation and application matters. You will respond to referrals and participate in the agency's work on regulatory development, simplifications, process development, and digitalization. The work can be adapted based on your expertise and may vary over time and includes, among other things: Social insurance law and administrative law: You will work with national and international regulations that govern how the agency handles benefit cases and administrative law matters. You will litigate in general administrative courts and follow up on regulatory compliance in case handling. Procurement and contracts: You will work on procurement issues closely with the agency's procurement function. Combating incorrect payments and benefit fraud: You will work with others to ensure the Swedish Pensions Agency's important work in preventing incorrect payments and benefit fraud, and ensuring everything is correct from the start. You will support both operational and long-term efforts. Total defense law, civil preparedness, and security protection. Law related to IT development, particularly AI: You will provide guidance and support to the organization so that we can together develop better services for pensioners and pension savers that are also simple to administer at the agency. You will support by developing clear approaches to, for example, cloud services and AI use. Your Profile To thrive in the role, you take great personal responsibility, enjoy working in teams, and have a holistic perspective. You are solid in legal matters and when something is not legally possible today, you come up with solution proposals. You have analytical skills and can quickly identify legal issues, often in complex and extensive material, and adjust your work effort and quality level based on the nature of the issue. Working with both attorneys and other professionals, you have the ability to explain and anchor legal aspects in an easily understandable way. You are comfortable working in a changing environment and see new conditions as opportunities rather than obstacles. We are looking for someone who has: Law degree (jur. kand.) or equivalent legal qualification and very strong legal knowledge Several years of current professional experience with legal work in public administration. Please indicate employment dates in your CV from year and month through year and month. Broad experience working with administrative law issues in public administration Ability to work independently and take responsibility for high-quality results Experience working together with other professional categories toward a common goal, in project form, or otherwise Very strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing Good ability to express yourself in English, both orally and in writing It is a merit if you have: Experience working with and strong knowledge of social insurance matters Experience working with and strong knowledge of public procurement Experience working with and strong knowledge of EU law Broad experience working with and strong knowledge of regulations on public disclosure and confidentiality and/or archival matters Experience working with civil preparedness and total defense law Notary qualifications or equivalent experience with legal work in court Experience with practical legal work in the digitalization area in public administration Experience working with AI from a legal perspective Experience working at a legal department or equivalent in public administration Experience from court of appeals in general courts or administrative courts, for example, as an associate judge, judicial secretary, or legal adviser In the selection process, great weight is placed on your personal qualities and suitability for the position.
