The Workplace
Artediskolan 7-9 is a school with approximately 200 students in central Nordmaling. Working together with trained colleagues, we strive to create the best conditions for student learning.
Artediskolan 7-9 is a three-parallel middle school with facilities well-adapted for teaching. The school is located near sports facilities, municipal gathering spaces, a library, and nature. The school conducts development work in collaboration with Umeå University and has a well-developed partnership with businesses in Nordmaling and other collaborative partners.
The Role and Responsibilities
As a student assistant, you will work with various groups where support is needed. The work involves creating a sense of security during the school day and providing support as needed. As a student assistant, you will also provide support to other students in their learning based on given instructions, contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment, and collaborate with teachers and other staff regarding student needs. You will support students with structure, focus, and participation. Tasks will be adapted to the needs of the school and students.
You are a trustworthy adult and good role model who finds it easy to connect with students and build relationships. We are looking for someone who is flexible, clear, and organized. You particularly enjoy working with students who need special support and are an important part of their daily life.
Your Profile
The requirements for the position of student assistant at Artediskolan 7-9 are that you have a valid upper secondary school diploma and experience working with children and young people. You also need good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, patient, and relationship-building. You have good collaboration skills, a genuine interest in supporting young people's development, and can adapt your working approach to each student's needs. You communicate clearly, take responsibility for your assignment, and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Employment
Before employment within the school, a certificate from the criminal records register must be presented in accordance with applicable legislation. The certificate must be presented to the employer before employment begins to ensure safety and security for children and students.
