Welcome to Fiskebäcksskolan! We are now seeking a student assistant for a full-time temporary position through the end of the year.
Fiskebäcksskolan is a F–9 school with approximately 600 students and two classes per grade level. Here, students from preschool class through grade 9 meet in a safe, stimulating, and creative learning environment where knowledge, community, and development are central.
We work purposefully to ensure that each student is given the conditions to reach their full potential, both academically and socially. Through engaged educators, high expectations, and an inclusive approach, we create a school environment where students feel safe, involved, and motivated to learn.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a student assistant who wants to work specifically with one student. The position involves supporting the student both during the school day and during leisure time activities.
The pedagogical work with our students is guided by the curriculum for preschool class but also by the students' needs, conditions, and interests. During the school day, you work together with the teacher in the classroom. Together, you design and adapt instruction to meet the students' specific needs based on the teacher's planning. Student work is characterized by low-affect interaction, explicit pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication.
Your role involves providing the student with both pedagogical and practical support as well as the opportunity to develop into an independent individual based on their conditions.
Qualifications
We are seeking a student assistant who has student assistant training, or alternatively training or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
It is a merit if you have knowledge of diabetes and/or experience working with individuals who have diabetes. If you have experience with low-affect interaction, explicit pedagogy, AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), and care, that is also a merit.
As a person, you are confident, calm, and stable. You are curious about finding solutions to compensate for students' difficulties in the learning environment. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive to your colleagues, and see possibilities instead of obstacles. Furthermore, you are independent and stress-resistant.
