As a student assistant, you will be an important and trusted adult in the student's daily life and have the opportunity to create structure, build relationships, and provide support that makes it easier for the student to succeed in school. Together with engaged colleagues, you will contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment where each student has the opportunity to develop according to their capabilities.
Your responsibilities
You will work as a resource during school hours and in after-school activities. You will be present throughout the entire school day and provide support both inside and outside the classroom, during breaks, and during transitions between different activities. You are a trusted and motivating adult who supports the student in participating in instruction, maintaining focus, and feeling included, both in the classroom, during breaks, and in extracurricular activities.
Together with responsible teachers, you create structure, clarity, and predictability by using visual supports and time supports, among other methods. You help the student understand the day's content, clarify boundaries, and provide support in both schoolwork and social situations. By motivating, supporting, and guiding the student through different tasks, you contribute to a safe and functional school environment.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a valid upper secondary education and experience working with children and young people. You also have experience working with children who display externalizing behavior. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as knowledge and ability to use computers and other technical aids in your daily work. It is an advantage if you are trained as a childcare worker, student assistant, teacher's assistant, or have other relevant education.
As a person, you are confident and stable with good self-awareness and a professional approach. You are self-directed and take responsibility for your tasks, while remaining flexible and able to adapt to changing situations and needs. You have good collaboration skills and work attentively and smoothly with others. You also have pedagogical insight and the ability to adapt your support and interactions based on children's and young people's different needs and capabilities.

This position is a fixed-term full-time employment from 260921-261231.
Before you can be employed, we will conduct a background check and you must provide a valid police certificate.
