About the Role
Would you like a practical and meaningful job where your expertise makes a difference for many people every day? We are now seeking an electrician for our water and sewage unit in Gällivare Municipality.
The position is located in the technical department within the Infrastructure and Technical Administration. Here we work with things that are important in people's daily lives – water supply and sewage treatment. As an electrician with us, you will be an important part of the work to keep the municipality's water and sewage facilities in good condition. Together, we ensure that water supply and wastewater treatment function safely, securely, and efficiently throughout the municipality.
Duties
You will primarily work as an electrician at our water and sewage treatment plants. Your tasks will mainly involve electrical and control work related to water supply and sewage treatment. The role includes planning, troubleshooting, repairs, and ongoing maintenance. You will work both independently and with colleagues, and you may also assist with other tasks within the water and sewage technical field. The work takes place at our facilities throughout the municipality, which means your days can vary. Once you have settled into the work and developed the right competencies, on-call duty may become relevant.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is an electrical technician with general electrical certification. Previous experience from process industry, low-voltage systems, or control systems is a merit. You are someone who values order and organization, takes responsibility, and collaborates well. You work comfortably both independently and with others, and you are willing to help outside your own area of expertise when needed.
We appreciate good computer skills and the ability to document your work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You will receive training in the operations and have the opportunity for ongoing supplementary education so you have the right conditions to grow into the role.
Knowledge of Sámi, Meänkieli, or Finnish is a merit, as Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for these national minority languages.

Permanent employment, 100%. Probationary employment may apply. On-call duty may be included in the work.
