Welcome to us One of our employees is moving on to a new assignment within the city, and we are now seeking an economic case handler for important and meaningful work. The position is placed in the Unit for Administration and Economics within the Department of Functional Disabilities, Social Psychiatry and Elderly Care. The unit is led by a unit manager and consists of administrative assistants, assistance case handlers, economic case handlers and operations controllers. The unit's main mission is to provide support in administrative and economic processes to the authority-exercising activities within the department. Certain administrative support is also provided to other parts of the department. The work includes, among other things, administrative support, invoice handling, fee administration, economic follow-ups, operations follow-ups, contract follow-ups and handling of transport services, national transport services, municipal housing supplement for people with disabilities, sick leave compensation within personal assistance and alarm systems for residents under 65 years old who do not have other services. On the City of Stockholm's website you can read more about our benefits Employee benefits - City of Stockholm Your role As an economic case handler, you will be part of the unit's economics group, which currently consists of six economic case handlers and one operations controller. You will become part of a group where we work together to create efficient, legally secure and uniform economic processes. Your main tasks are fee administration and invoice handling. You are responsible for ensuring that the individual is charged the correct fee and that the correct compensation is paid to the service provider. The assignment includes, among other things, checking and approving invoices, handling fee decisions and investigating and deciding on applications for increased reserve amounts and reduced rent. The work involves handling various types of documentation and requires the ability to make assessments based on applicable rules and guidelines. Other tasks within the field may also occur based on the needs of the activities. Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has: University education that the employer considers relevant for the position, for example in economics or a degree in social work. Good computer skills. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Interest in economics and figures as well as the ability to understand and handle economic information. It is advantageous if you have experience with fee administration within any of the activity areas functional disabilities, social psychiatry or elderly care.
