Chief Financial Officer / Interim Finance Manager – Consulting Assignment
We are seeking experienced Chief Financial Officers and interim finance managers for upcoming management and organizational change assignments. We are looking for someone who can step in quickly, establish structure, and take clear responsibility for finance, governance, and delivery for our clients, primarily in Gävleborg County.
About the Opportunities
Assignments may arise due to vacancies, organizational changes, development initiatives, major projects, or the need for temporary reinforcement. These can be found within public sector operations, municipal companies, and larger private organizations. Assignments through your own company are common, but employment can also be an option depending on the assignment and your preferences.
Example Work Tasks
Lead and develop the finance function
Responsible for budget, forecasting, financial statements, and reporting
Financial management and advisory to leadership and operations
Personnel and management responsibility where the assignment requires it
Develop processes, internal controls, and decision-making documentation
Drive change and improvement initiatives
Ensure quality, continuity, and delivery within the finance function
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Has several years of experience in qualified finance work
Has experience in leading finance roles, such as Chief Financial Officer, Head of Accounting, Controller, or equivalent
Is comfortable quickly familiarizing yourself with a new organization and establishing structure
Can work independently and communicate with leadership, managers, and employees
Has relevant academic education or equivalent documented competence
Meritorious Qualifications
Interim experience
Experience from municipalities, regions, government agencies, or municipal companies
Experience in change management, reorganization, or system/process implementation
Management experience with personnel responsibility
Experience in politically governed organizations
Work Location and Arrangement
Work location and degree of remote work vary. Leadership assignments often require some physical presence. We therefore seek both regionally available professionals and candidates who can travel as needed. Focus is on Gävleborg and neighboring regions.
