Vindex is now seeking a meticulous and system-savvy accountant for an extended interim assignment in Gävle, with the opportunity to gradually expand your responsibilities and expertise. The assignment is expected to last approximately 18 months and there are good prospects for continued employment with the client following successful collaboration. About the Role In this role, you will be part of the accounting function with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable. You will work operatively with ongoing transactions and handle large volumes of financial data, with responsibility for maintaining high quality and following applicable processes and regulations. The position includes payments, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and analysis of financial flows. You will also have contact points with the business operations and contribute to ensuring efficient and well-functioning accounting processes. Location: Gävle Main Responsibilities Handle and record ongoing supplier and customer transactions and ensure that payments and bookkeeping are performed correctly and on time Work with accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, and monitoring of financial flows Control and analyze transactions and identify and manage any discrepancies Handle invoice flows and support the business with questions related to invoices, payments, and accounting processes Ensure that routines, approval workflows, and internal processes are followed Contribute to the development and improvement of working methods within the accounting function Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Post-secondary education in accounting or finance Good understanding of ongoing accounting work and bookkeeping Good understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable and associated financial flows Experience working with large volumes of transactions and financial data Good IT skills and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes Strong Excel skills Fluid communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is a merit if you have experience working in a larger or complex accounting function and with process improvement and optimization. You enjoy working with large amounts of data and recurring financial flows, where it is important to be able to work methodically without losing quality or attention to detail. You have an analytical approach and are good at identifying discrepancies and finding solutions, while remaining humble and enjoying collaboration with different parts of the organization. You are willing to take initiative, learn new working methods, and see opportunities to gradually take on greater responsibility within the accounting area.
